The W/H Series...Part 2

WHAT

What's the craziest thing you've done lately?

Hubby & I were watching the 'Girl Next Door' DVD recently and on the show, the girl next door asks the main character "So what's the craziest thing you've done lately?". This guy is young, on the brink of graduating from high school but hasn't really taken any sort of risks in life. He thinks of doing stuff (but they always end up really bad in his imagination) so he ends up not doing anything.

This got me thinking...so what crazy things have I done lately? Did some painting of a house and polishing in a church recently...but that's more community service than crazy (although why anyone would want to spend a day doing it for fun should be labelled crazy!). Spent several hours straight watching 'Heroes' (that would probably be classified as being a couch potato but how can you NOT get absorbed in Heroes?). Cried bucket loads reading this book by Jodi Picoult called 'My Sister's Keeper' (don't all women do that sometime in their life? I believe if a book can move you to tears, it's worth recommending to other people).

The last crazy things I can remember doing were in my youth (makes me feel quite ancient saying that!). I remember driving my red littl' Kancil at speeds of 130km/h (and feeling my bones rattle along with the car)...I remember sneaking out with my secondary school friends, only to lepak by the side of the road opposite my house...I remember parking in an alleyway with my ex-boyfriend and getting caught by the cops. Oh, how can anyone say youth is wasted on the young? What memories would one have if not of their youth?

But now, I'm going to take a risk. I'm going to do something that I think is crazy...
I'm going to admit online that I had a crush on someone for the longest time. Remember, key word here being had, given that I'm now married and the only crush that I have is on my hubby...and possibly Keanu Reeves, but that's kinda different.

This guy was youthful yet mature. He made life seem more vivid, more vibrant. He made me think, made me wonder, made me break things down and analyze everything. He made me laugh (although sometimes, it was over really stupid stuff). He made me feel like a woman, made me think secret thoughts and made me wonder "What if..."

To him, I will always be greatful of the relationship that we had, of the way he made me feel and of the person I've become because of him. So T, thank you muchly for coming into my life. If you ever read this, I hope that you are well and that life brings you as much joy as you brought me. Be well my friend & go do something crazy.

I just did.

p/s - Wishing the beginning of April babies - KL, CSL, CSM, AY, SC, D & CTN - a very Happy Birthday!!!

hmm ... I had a crush on someone too ... I blog about her a long time ago .. and I use to use her as a yard stick on whom I should marry.

Well ... it worked.

A crush on someone named T who turned you into who you are today? That's real sweet. Oh well, the "what if" scenario happens to guys too. But I guess if you want a relationship to work, there can't be able "what ifs" around eh?

How anyone can cry over a book I can never get. I mean, it's like when people said that Harry Potter would die the whole world went mad. He's just a fictional character dammit!

As for the craziest thing I've ever done, which one? Stealing an entire tyre off a car, yelling at a teacher, erm... some other things non-mentionable here.. aiya. It's all in the state of mind. If you're feeling all mad and frustrated, nothing beats doing something totally wrong or crazy to outdo whatever thats cheesing you off.

Have you finished Heroes yet btw? The new episode is coming out 24/4 :)

Hmmmmm can't really think of anything crazy(enough) that I've done but I have to say the craziest I've done was riding my Atuk's motorcycle when I was 10 around the 'kamping' when I don't really know how. I ended up in a ditch behind the house with bruises all over heheheheh. And I remember being whipped by me mom after that.

Does dancing half-naked while totally plastered on a table in a full-house gay bar count? :-)

T??? You had a crush on Mr. Tan??? ;-D

izchan: I guess benchmarking really does work! =)

Izso: Not carrying 'What ifs' around anymore...I had closure. I think guys will never get the crying over a book bit. Sometimes, you read about stuff that's really really sad and it just touches a chord in you deep down.

As for Heroes, we're at Ep.18. There's 23 episodes in the season. They've just finished Ep.23.

johnybravo: Yeah, we've always known that bit. But what about RECENTLY?

frankensteina: How on earth were you able to start the bike and reach the pedals and stuff?!?!?!??!!!

Maggie - happy birthday!

JohnnyB - You're not mad. Just have BALLS OF STEEL! XD

Pugly - this makes me even more curious about it. Gay bars and table top dancing? Woman, you already gave me an image of what you looked like and now you go and destroy everything!

Moo - Heroes 19 isn't out until the 24th April la. I've been diligently reading the TV guides in USA. Hehe

Thank you for sharing. Am sure most of us here have been through the same and felt the same way too

Everybody has done something in the past that we never thought we would do now. That's why it's called "youth". I had a huge crush on someone when I was in college, but I'm not as lucky as Moo. He didn't teach me anything that made me the person I am today. :P

There are 11,800,000 entries if you check google with "boy names begin with T". My best guest is Tonto, Lone Ranger's sidekick.
